The earlier 1.0 ECOboost engines did suffer from a badly designed degas hose. The affected degas hose was made of plastic and vulcanised rubber. This type of degas hose was only installed on Focus MK3 vehicles with 1.0 ECOboost engine that were built between 25-04-2012 and 05-05-2014.
